Hydrogen

With its many years of experience in the field of hydrogen, RWE is one of the leading players in Europe in the development of a climate-neutral hydrogen economy. Today, we are working on around 30 green hydrogen projects with partners from various sectors and industries. One of our flagship projects is our site in Lingen, Germany, where a 300 MW electrolyzer is under construction. We also have a pilot plant in operation with alkaline, PEM and SOEC technologies.

Our dedicated team of over 100 experts across Europe is a driving force behind our vision for sustainable energy and industrial transformation.

In Sweden, we have been actively working since 2022 to identify opportunities and contribute to the country's transition to green hydrogen. We are involved in all of Sweden's hydrogen clusters - from the steel industry in the north to the petrochemical cluster in the south and the e-fuel cluster in the east. By participating in discussions and collaborations, we are an active party in the Swedish market and working to strengthen the national hydrogen infrastructure. We look forward to continuing to work with companies and organisations to shape the sustainable energy system of the future.
